Gardening for Birds: We will be looking for someone who might be interested in heading this up. The club has put up many bird houses and roosting boxes over the years thanks to Mary Mix and Kim Keyes. Upkeep of these and continued interest in our bird population could be a nice job for a member. Speak to Susan Frenette or Marti Warren if interested. Reminders: *No birds rely entirely on one source of food, but bird feeders make life easier for birds in winter and contribute to their survivial as well as give us a delightful distraction. Keep your feeders clean with bleach. Heated bird baths are a wonderful gift to the birds during the winter- put it on your Christmas wish list- you will love watching them take baths at below zero!
Painting for Gardeners: (Needs a leader) This relaxed group includes painters of all abilities. They follow the season with their themes and usually meets at the Amherst Library. Most of their paintings are small studies but occasionally they will meet at an outside setting to paint. Water colors are the medium but you may also use pencil, or charcoal- no oils please. MEETINGS: TBA
Perennial Study: (Kem Vassallo) This is a wonderful way to learn and share gardening knowledge. New faces are always welcome, we always meet on the third Thursday of each month. Membership requires a plant presentation, shared topic presentation and hostess a meeting. Very relaxed study group. MEETINGS:
Water Gardening Study Group: (needs a study group head) Are you interested in Water Gardens? Do you have a water garden or want to add a small or large water feature to your garden? MEETINGS: TBA |
